Happiness versus “interest”?

I would not always forego interest for happiness, because amongst other reasons, I think pursuing the truth (one of the forms of “interest”) is the single most important thing, and also has a better chance of leading to happiness in the long run than avoidance of truth and interest; but if I can have interest, truth, and happiness all together, that would be the best!
